About us...

CodeClan is a digital skills academy, inspiring people to change their careers – and their life – by training for a career in tech. 85% of our graduates gain employment in the industry within 6 months and we’re committed to making that even higher!

As well as our full-time immersive courses, we also offer a selection of short courses and evening classes for folks who want to up-skill in their current role or jump start their career change. We’re immensely proud of our courses and our teaching. The quality of our delivery is at the heart of everything we do. We are constantly adapting and improving our offerings so they meet the market needs so we welcome different experiences into the team to ensure we get a broad range of expertise.

CodeClan is a non-profit organisation, we keep our costs low so that as many people as possible can benefit from the opportunities we provide. We also seek out funding to enable those who might not otherwise be able to take the course to receive free places.

The Instructor team at CodeClan

You’ll be part of a very welcoming and supportive team of other instructors from various backgrounds. We teach in cohort teams with two to four instructors per class, so you’ll never be taking a class on your own. We have a solid curriculum of course materials that you can teach from. Every day will be different for you. From helping students one-to-one, to doing code reviews and learning new skills. You’ll have personal development time to work on your own practice projects, building some notes for one of our courses or small collaborative projects with other instructors

Career Development

We care about growing your career, so we have a clear career progression framework as well as plenty of opportunities for learning new skills and building on your existing ones. We organise our teaching schedules to allow time for you to work on your own learning. We have staff training opportunities in topics like diversity and inclusion and mental health in the workplace. We encourage a supportive environment and sharing of feedback to improve our teaching.

Personal Development Time

  • Technical Assistants and Assistant Instructors – 10 days a year
  • Instructors – 15 days a year
  • Senior Instructors – 20 days a year

  • To stay on top of the constantly changing world of tech, we need to be dynamic and agile and constantly look to improve the teaching and content of our courses so we can deliver the best experience to our students. 
  • Flexible working is a high priority for us – we understand that our team have caring responsibilities, child care needs or simply other commitments. We’re happy to discuss part-time working, term-time contracts or other working patterns – just let us know.
