CodeClan is seeking a Senior Instructor to lead our Industry Training Programme in Edinburgh to support our scaling goals. For the candidate with good organisational skills, execution, strong work ethic and drive to achieve, this is an opportunity to become a key player in an entrepreneurial, growing and dynamic organisation involved in some of the most important global issues.
Your role will be to define and deliver our industry training offerings, work with the commercial team to land opportunities and ensure you and your team are scheduled to meet those commitments. This position requires data or software experience and a desire to learn what you don’t know. It will involve hands-on training on campus and remote as well as managing the scheduling and career progression of your instructor team. CodeClan is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to launching careers in tech, so this is a perfect opportunity to use your skills to help and inspire others for a worthwhile cause.
You do need some previous experience of working with software or data in an academic or business environment using common development languages such as Python or Javascript and be willing to learn what you don’t know. We would also like you to have some previous experience of leading a team.
Skills and attitude are far more important to us than your background and experience. You don’t need to be a teacher, lecturer or programming whizz to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping other people and willing to give new experiences a try.
