About CodeClan

CodeClan is a digital skills academy that provides adults with the training needed to launch new careers in software and data. We’re currently recruiting for a creative, organised and passionate individual to play a key role on our Marketing Team.

The role

Our website is an extremely important part of our organisation and is often our customers’ first real experience of CodeClan. As a growing business in the technology and education sector, we’re looking for someone who can empathise with our online users and help us stand out digitally.

Working with various CodeClan departments, you’ll conduct research, produce content and ensure that everything we do and say online matches the quality of our campus experience.


  • Ensure website & collateral are up-to-date in terms of design, brand, product information and offerings
  • Conduct research and deliver content and site changes that supports CodeClan’s SEO strategy
  • Champion accessibility across our digital channels, with a focus on the website
  • Build new web pages when required for courses, case studies, campaigns and other offerings
  • Reporting on website performance metrics such as traffic, conversions etc.
  • Conduct user testing and implement relevant design changes
  • Write compelling and accurate copy for web pages and blogs
  • Liaise with external developers to ensure optimal performance and delivery of new features
  • Conduct a annual website content audit
  • Create and update presentations where required
  • Create and update pdf downloads and brochures

Essential Criteria

  • At least one year’s experience in website content creation, SEO, design or UX
  • Experience using a CMS system
  • A growth mindset and a willingness to learn
  • Empathy and a passion for users and accessibility
  • Basic understand of SEO and standard SEO tactics
  • Ability to write website copy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Able to thrive in a team environment

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of WordPress and Elementor
  • Proven track record of creativity and innovation
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Adobe Creative Suite or alternative design package
