CodeClan is coming to Glasgow: new course for January 2017

Harvey Wheaton, Chief Executive Officer, CodeClan

Almost a year to the month that CodeClan began running courses in Edinburgh, I’m very pleased to announce that our first Glasgow cohort will run in January 2017.

It’s been a busy 12 months here in Castle Terrace. Since we opened in October 2015 we’ve had more than 100 students passing through our 16-week intensive course across six cohorts (the seventh starts next week).

In that time we’ve seen our students find work with a wide range of companies, including Instagram, Deloitte Digital, Inoapps, Gecko Labs, Adobe and many more, with each week bringing more job offers.

We’ve also been asked many times about when we’re going to run courses outside the capital, so being able to start up our first cohort in Glasgow is an exciting next stage for us. The full time course starts on 9th January 2017.

We’re also delighted to be offering a number of new, shorter courses here in Edinburgh (including a hugely popular 10-week, part-time, evening Intro to Programming course).

This is an exciting new chapter for CodeClan, one that will see us bringing more developers and digital literate people into the Scottish tech scene at a time when there’s still a skills shortage.

We’ll be running info sessions for potential Glasgow students and employer partners on Tuesday 4th October at The Tontine Building, 20 Trongate (see map).

In the meantime please sign-up to our e-newsletter (just scroll down to the foot of this page) for the latest news on CodeClan, or find out more on Facebook and Twitter.

Due to our continued growth we’re recruiting more instructors for both Glasgow and Edinburgh, so if you’re interested in getting involved please check out our current vacancies.
