Last night, the Scottish technology sector was celebrated as the Digital Technology Awards 2019, run by ScotlandIS, awarded high achieving organisations for innovation, expertise and indeed the people who drive them.
CodeClan was shortlisted for the โBest Training Programmeโ category, for the third year in a row, but weโre pleased to see a new organisation, The Data Lab, take the title for a change.
Congratulations!
We were also delighted to see a number of our Industry Partners and graduates picking up awards, including Airts, Castlight and Craneware.
Our CEO, Melinda Matthews Clarkson, had this to say:
โOf course weโre disappointed not to win the award this year, but we already know weโre โwinningโ in 2019 so far, thanks to the hard work and ambition of the CodeClan team.
โWeโve launched our new Partner Programme, our new Data Analysis course, a free #techmums course, our new Highlands academy, helped place over 500 graduates in employment and most recently we launched the Client Xperience programme, which sees social-impact organisations benefit from student voluntary work and vice versa – our students get real-life experience working within an organisation, providing digital solutions.
โWeโre ready for the next stage of our growth and weโre ready to continue to impact, not only on the industry and helping upskill and retrain job-ready, skilled professionals, but also the lives of the professionals we help make that change and future-proof their careers.
โCongratulations to everyone who was shortlisted and to the winners. Weโve still a long way to go to bridge the digital skills gap, but Scotlandโs digital talent is really progressing and weโre excited to be among all the action!โ
