2 days, over 500 attendees and countless connections later
2022 is truly the year where events are back, bigger and more vibrant than ever. CodeClan has been a long term supporter of tech events in Scotland and we were delighted to continue our sponsorship for this year’s Turing Fest, hosted this Summer at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
Turing Fest in CodeClan’s eyes is a great place to share knowledge, build connections and really immerse yourself in the tech ecosystem in Scotland. We wanted our space at the event to be an extension of this and ‘Conversations With CodeClan’ was created.
We wanted our space to be a hub to continue the discussions from the main agenda but also a chance for our partners to host conversations around topics of interest to them, taking advantage of the vast audience available at Turing Fest. The space allowed us to bring attendees together with Skyscanner, Fanduel, Baillie Gifford and a range of Turing Fest speakers.
With discussions highlighting topics such as social mobility, bringing young people into tech, building inclusive teams and increasing diversity through career changers, the conversations that were had in our space brought new perspectives together and also encouraged the direction the tech sector is going.
Outside of our ‘Conversations With CodeClan’, the team were delighted to make so many new connections whether that someone who is finishing their phd, supporting young people into the industry or those looking to reskill, all these connections are of value. They reinforce what CodeClan does. We are here to change people’s lives and provide a skilled workforce so being part of these events and being in front of industry, only reinforces our mission and supports us as we build a positive pathway for our alumni as they enter the tech industry.

Making our mark
Sticker Mule (https://www.stickermule.com/uk/custom-stickers) helped us create a lasting impact to those attending by printing our custom Turing Fest 2022 stickers which were a great hit to those attending, this good quality sticker will last so we are looking forward to seeing the collection of CodeClan stickers on laptops for years to come as we keep bringing back our Turing Fest stickers!
