Help shape Scotland’s digital future at CodeClan

With CodeClan expanding into exciting new areas, Head of Curriculum, Sara Dodd, explains why developers should consider a career here.

It’s a busy time for us here at CodeClan: our seventh cohort has just started, our first evening class is fully booked and plans for our first Glasgow cohort are well underway.

We’re approaching our first birthday and have big plans for 2017, which is why we’re looking to welcome more permanent and contract instructors into the clan, both in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We’re looking for the best instructors so that we can continue to train the next generation of developers. Our current instructors are impossible to pigeonhole, each coming from a different background with a different set of skills.

Are you currently teaching web development and looking for a new challenge? Working in software development and interested in getting into full or part-time instructing? Thinking about running some evening classes on your area of expertise but need some help developing your teaching skills?

Whatever your current situation, you could be a perfect fit for CodeClan.

Our software development instructors earn between £30,000 and £40,000, while senior instructor salaries range from £40,000 to £50,000 (both include a 5% pension). Contract instructors earn a competitive daily rate working in a varied environment.

“It’s great to be able give new students the skills and guidance that I wish I could have had when I was setting out on my path to be a developer,” explained one of our instructors, Val, in a recent blog post. “We can really change people’s lives and also provide a stream of quality workers to the digital world, which is just amazing.”
