Five steps to your new career…
Thanks to CodeClan’s Professional Software Development course, Glasgow career changers have an opportunity to immerse themselves in an engaging and challenging training environment, get introduced to some of the most exciting and innovative companies in Scotland and kick-start a career they love.
All before summer 2023!
From software developers to test engineers, careers in software development are as varied as the CodeClan students who embrace this opportunity.
Do you want to be a Junior Software Developer by spring?
Here are your five steps to achieving that goal
1. Monday 19 December: get your application in for Cohort G35
But the earlier the better, because this will give you enough time to smoothly complete the application process, which includes a short interview.
2. Thursday 22 December: meet your classmates and get up to speed
Now you can get cracking with your pre-course work.
This purpose of this first phase of training is to get you familiar with the basic terminology for the course, understand some basic programming concepts and get comfortable with navigating the development environment of a Mac. You can do all this in your own time, before on-campus training starts.
3. Monday 9th January: start your training at our Glasgow campus
4. Start preparing for your new job
During the course you’ll have access to our coaching sessions and workshops designed to help you come out of your training with the best CV and interview skills we can offer. You’ll also have the chance meet potential employers at Project Showcases, Industry Talks, and more.
Cohort G35 graduates on 28th April.
You’ll have learned an immense amount about tools, technologies and techniques used in software development plus how to learn effectively, and thrive in an industry setting. You’ll have completed projects, heard from key figures in the industry and will be ready to take the next step in your career.
