This week we launched ‘Tech Boom’, a creative campaign that symbolises the diversity of tech and its workforce as well as the explosion of opportunities for new talent seeking careers within the industry.
Tech is one of, if not the, fastest growing industries in Scotland and our mission is to make a difference to the lives of those who choose a career in tech, by offering a range of courses which enable professionals to change careers, upskill, retrain and make them job-ready.
Through our partner programme, we are then able to offer organisations a pool of talented professionals, ready to add value to their employers. Ultimately, we’re helping the Scottish economy, by enriching the tech eco-system.
Skills Development Scotland have estimated that there are 12,800 tech jobs available annually in Scotland and employers are looking for a diverse workforce with varied backgrounds and experience, for positions such as developers, UX analysts, help desk technicians, testers, data analysts, product managers and more.
Career changers from education, engineering and finance backgrounds, for example, bring a strong set of transferable skills that are increasingly being sought for by digital teams.
Many public and private sector organisations are also looking internally for talent and to retrain staff who are at risk of redundancy, which brings transferable skills into the industry.
We wanted to have some fun with a bold campaign that matches the diversity of the industry we work in and the students we teach. We wanted to promote diversity in tech and bring to life the passion and creativity that exists within CodeClan and the wider industry.
Tech Boom has been launched in the central belt across taxi advertising, Spotify streaming, PPC, social and programmatic, alongside a web page, signposting interested students and businesses to the next step. The campaign runs from 28th January until 28th February.
You can check it out by visiting our landing page or looking out for CodeClan on those taxis!
