Our four-week program will introduce you to the essential skills of web design and give you insight on exciting career paths within the tech industry.
Our youth academy bootcamp will give you the skills and knowledge you need to master the basics of web design and help jump start your future career in tech.
During our training you’ll learn the basics of coding and web development and work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
This course is fully funded for anyone aged 17-24 living in the Scottish Borders, so you can sign up and start learning for free.
During the workshops you’ll get the chance to socialise with like-minded people and make friends while learning valuable skills for your future.
During our bootcamp we will give you a strong foundation in coding skills that employers are looking for in multiple fields such as tech, gaming, sports, design, advertising, fashion and media.
In just four weeks, you will gain core skills needed for a lucrative industry that doesnโt show signs of slowing down.
Beginning with user experience and HTML fundamentals โ like tags, text-formatting, and layouts โ you'll learn the basics of web design.
Get started with programming! Learn the fundamentals of JavaScript for building dynamic websites.
When you're ready to get creative, we'll show you how to add colour and images to your website by learning to work with CSS!
Gain insights into different tech careers with our informative career sessions from our support team here at CodeClan.
Upon completion you will be presented with a SQA accredited certificate outlining successful completion of the course.
Our qualifications are industry recognised and can be used to show to potential employers.
You don’t need any programming or prior experience to join CodeClan Youth Academy – even beginners are welcomed with open arms.
We also supply laptops for you to work from to ensure that you get the most from your learning.
Thanks to the Scottish Borders Council this course is fully funded for those who live in the Scottish Borders area and who are looking to up-skill or pursue a career in web design.

Ourย Youth Academy Bootcamp is open to anyone aged between 17 and 24 years old who resides in the Scottish Borders area. You don’t need any coding experience to join us as long as you have a problem solving attitude and a willingness to learn.ย

This course is assessed by a personal project that will be marked by our instructors. You will only receive your SQA accredited certification after successful completion of the course and having attended all classes.
