Hiring & Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Our team will assist and coach you for a role in the technology ecosystem but due to the economic uncertainty our standard placement processes have been slowed. Our goal is to support you through this process with a new profile system, promote your skills and experience to our partners and engage organisations across Scotland to understand who is hiring for full time and part time roles.
This programme is a project delivered by the Northern Innovation Hub. This is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal – a joint initiative supported by £315m investment from the UK and Scottish governments, The Highland Council, HIE and University of the Highlands and Islands. – Visit HIE
A typical day
Here’s what your day will look like while you train in our virtual classroom.
All the students and instructors meet for a daily stand up, and to do a review of the homework from the previous night.
Our Virtual Learning Experience simulates a classroom-based environment. Lessons are interactive, with instructor led live coding and student participation. The live lessons are also recorded and available for review afterwards.
A break for lunch so that students can take a breather, socialise and have some food.
Lessons continue in the afternoon, with some days involving afternoon lab work and others focusing more on additional teaching time.
The day recap is completed and students have an opportunity to start their homework.
CodeClan instructors have lots of cross-industry experience, and are on-hand throughout your course to guide you through the curriculum, inspire you and answer your questions.
At CodeClan, we not only prepare you to work in web development, we also support our students and graduates into their first role. Our aim is to match you with our hiring partners so that you can find a new job that is a great fit for you and the organisation.
Our Careers Service team holds workshops on how to develop a CV that hiring specialists will love, and run mock interviews. We hold Industry Talks and Fireside Chats with industry partners so our students can better understand roles, responsibilities and culture. And we also hold virtual networking so you can meet hiring organisations in an informal setting and ask your burning questions.
