Your springboard to a tech career

Ready to take your first steps in an exciting and rewarding career? The tech industry needs more people and software development is right at the heart of it all. Over four weeks of training, we’ll teach you the basics of programming and prepare you for a guaranteed paid internship with one of Scotland’s exciting tech companies. You’ll focus on Front End Development which is all about creating and designing websites. 

This is a fully funded opportunity. We’re delighted to deliver this course in partnership with Baillie Gifford.

  • Bootcamp starts: Monday 4 July 
  • Internship starts: Monday 1 August
  • Graduation: Friday 26 August
  • Course hours: Mon – Thursday, 10am – 4pm

What will I learn?

Four weeks of bootcamp...

  • Weeks 1 and 2: HTML & CSS, presentations skills
  • Weeks 3 and 4: JavaScript, NodeJS, Intro to UX, Intro to Angular


By the end of the bootcamp, you’ll be able to carry out Web Development tasks like testing and making changes to websites.

Four weeks of PAID internship

  • Practice your new skills in a workplace setting
  • Understand how a technology business works
  • Gain real-world experience for your CV


Every student is guaranteed an internship paid at the living wage. You’ll have a mentor and will work on live projects.

The curriculum

  • Week 1 and 2: HTML & CSS, Presentations Skills, Command Line, GIT and GitHub, and a social event at the end of week 2.
  • Week 3 and 4: JavaScript, NodeJS, Intro to UX, Intro to Angular, A workshop on work readiness and how to get the most out of your internship.
  • Week 5 to 8, paid internship, a social event, and a CV and interview skills workshop.
  • At the end of week 8: graduation, and a social event.
