Castlight’s mission is to create a safer financial world. They’re doing that by taking transactional and credit search information from a customer, and bringing it all together into their Affordability Passport® product.
But with with 12,800 digital jobs being created every year in Scotland, Scott McKeand, Castlight’s Technical Product and Platform Manager says: “With the digital skills gap in Scotland we found it really difficult to hire developers with the skills and technologies that we were using on our tech stack.”
Hiring from CodeClan
Since joining CodeClan’s Employer Partner programme, Castlight have hired three software development graduates. “With CodeClan we found that there were students available who had been working in the technologies that we were wanting to work in, as well as having that grounding of having worked in a workplace before. So the students have come in, settled in immediately and are a great part of our team.”
